Founded in 1982 as a spin-off of the University of Padua, the University of Verona is committed to innovation and excellence in research and education. With a student body of over 29,000 and more than 1,500 academic and administrative staff, the university fosters continuous growth by investing in human, structural, and financial resources. The Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine, and Movement plays a key role in interdisciplinary research, integrating expertise in human physiology, molecular biology, genetics, psychology, and clinical chemistry. Within this department, professors, associate professors and researchers bring extensive experience in Paralympic sports and adapted physical activity, focusing on body composition, sports performance, and classification. Recent research focuses on health and performance in Sitting Volleyball, contributing valuable insights to the field. Beyond academic work, staff of this department actively promote adapted sports, organizing tournaments, meetings, and training sessions for athletes with disabilities at the university’s facilities.
NGO NEST Berlin – Berlin, Germany
NGO NEST Berlin is an umbrella organisation for promoting and executing international projects to create an impact for social change. With our network partners we support adults and youths through functioning as a hub for European projects – from project design to research and implementation. NGO NEST Berlin is thus strongly involved in the design and management of international projects in all sectors of Erasmus+ (Youth, Adult, VET, Schools, Sports) as well as in Horizon Europe, AMIF. Moreover, as a trusted organisation for volunteering activities, through European Solidarity Corps and other international youth programs, NGO NEST Berlin is regularly engaged in sending and receiving young people from all over Europe and Africa.
Aetoi Thessalonikis – Thessalonìki, Greece
AETOI Thessalonikis is committed to supporting people with disabilities, working directly with around 70 children and adults with disabilities to promote their social participation and inclusion. promoting social participation and inclusion. AETOI’s permanent staff includes specialized physical education trainers, supported by external collaborators, including a network of doctors, psychologists, social workers, and IT specialists who offer additional expertise. Alongside the managing board, a committed group of volunteers plays a crucial role in the organization’s activities. With a focus on informal and non-formal education, AETOI continuously works to enhance the skills of its team in training techniques, volunteer engagement, and athlete support. Through these efforts, the organization fosters an inclusive environment where sports serve as a powerful tool for empowerment and social inclusion.

Founded in 2019, Gülümse Sports Club is dedicated to breaking barriers and fostering holistic development by integrating sports into the lives of people with disabilities. The organization strives to provide equal opportunities in sports, empowering people with disabilities to lead fulfilling and active lives. Believing that sports should be accessible to all, Gülümse Sports Club promotes physical and social well-being, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and creates opportunities for individuals to build friendships through sports. Their work extends to a broad target group, including people with disabilities of all kinds, as well as parents, special education teachers, and caregivers, ensuring inclusivity across all ages and genders. To support their mission, the club organizes various internal and external sports tournaments and competitions, creating meaningful opportunities for participation and engagement.
